Download Flipboard from the App Store. Then start a new Flipboard or sign in to an existing account.

Instead of Flipping screens horizontally – as you do on the iPad, flip vertically on the iPhone and iPod touch app. Select the categories you want to be included in your Flipboard. After selecting your categories, you can start checking out the articles from the categories you selected.

If you find an interesting article you’d like to share, use the controls at the top. From here you can Tweet or email the article. You can also star it as a favorite in Google Reader.

Tap the search icon to find specific content. Click the plus icon to add it to your Flipboard. Then it will appear in the categories on the main screen.

Flipboard for the iPad is an awesome app for making your own news magazine. The iPhone and iPod touch version is groovy too. The controls are intuitive and flipping between pages is fluid. If you enjoy Flipboard on the iPad and have an iPhone or iPod touch – you’ll like this version too. If you don’t have an iPad, now you can enjoy what you’ve been missing on the iPad. Here’s Flipboard CEO Mike McCue talking to All Things D about the the Flipboard iPhone app.
