“Today, we began rolling out new benefits for Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal subscribers who use Outlook.com,” the Outlook team writes. “These premium email features include an ad-free inbox, enhanced protection against malware and phishing, larger mailbox sizes, and premium customer support. Ad-Free Experience: We showed you how to get an ad-free inbox using Bing Rewards before, but you’ll no longer need to use points or pay extra each month. The Outlook.com interface will now be ad-free if are paying for a subscription to either Office 365 Home or Personal.Extra Security: With the upgrade, you now get added security against sophisticated malware and phishing threats. The service will scan your attachments as a message comes in. Also, it will double check hyperlinks and pop up an alert if the destination site is a potential threat.More Inbox Space: You will now get 50 GB of email storage, which is up from 15 GB for non-premium accounts before.Premium Support: If you have an issue with your account, you can get free tech support via in-app chat or on the phone.
It’s also worth noting that if you have Office 365 Home and share it with others, they will receive these premium benefits, too. The new features will begin rolling out to subscribers today and it will happen automatically. You don’t need to take any special action on your end.
