And now, the Spotify service is baked in, and you can play music directly from the streaming music service. Previously you could play music from Spotify but had to stream it from your phone or other mobile devices via Bluetooth to the Echo. Note: For this to work, you will need to be subscribed to Spotify Premium, which is $9.99/month. Using this new feature is easy. The first thing you’ll need to do is set up your Spotify account with the Echo. To do that, launch the Echo app on your mobile device, or you can do it from your PC using the web version. The navigate to Settings > Music & Media and click Link account on Spotify.com. Then sign in with your Spotify account username and password and verify you want to link your account.
